Health at Hand was founded by Laura Young-Langanke RMT. Laura has been committed to providing highly skilled, knowledgeable and inspired bodywork since 1998. Over the years she has completed nearly 2000 hours of education in the massage therapy field. Laura has been known for her deep tissue work and draws from a clinical/sports background in massage – working with chronic pain and injury. In 2004, she began studying and integrating several eastern/energetic modalities to deepen her practice, and offer a more comprehensive approach to address the whole being. Many believe she has and innate and intuitive ability which guides her work. Laura is passionate about massage and healing touch for optimal health. She delights in the opportunity to help others on their journey for balance in body, mind and spirit.
Laura is a graduate of the Chicago School of Massage Therapy (CSMT) in 1998. Shortly thereafter, she completed her 75 hour Myofascial Certification at CSMT in 1999 and has completed her Advanced Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy training in 2006. Laura has also been awarded her 100 hour Zen Shiatsu Certification at the Boulder College of Massage Therapy in 2009. She has been a member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) since 1997.
She is grateful to live and work in the beautiful community of Golden. She lives with her wonderful husband Mark and her young son, Hayden. She enjoys an active lifestyle of telemark and cross country skiing in the winter and hiking and biking in the warmer months. Laura also loves to spend time with freinds, cook, read, travel, sing and dance!
Laura has recently decided to follow a long-time dream of becoming a Master Herbalist. She has plans to complete a 4 year program in the future, striving to be a knowledgeable resource to her clients, family and community.
